Congratulations to Haley Broussard who won the NAITC 2023 Excellence in Teaching About Agriculture Award. She is one of seven who were chosen NATIONALLY. Broussard provides unique real-world learning experiences that help students learn outside the four walls of a classroom. Her lessons involve from garden to table hands-on learning experiences and more, which enhance agriculture and other lessons taught in her classroom.
She is a 2nd-grade teacher at Dozier Elementary, who was named the state Classroom Teacher in 2022.
