The 10-day review period for the district pupil progression plan is now available for review.
It can be found on the website by clicking the menu and looking under District Information. Any questions should be sent to shawri.landry@vpsb.net
This is a state mandated document and review period. It will be officially adopted at the July board meeting.

All Vermilion Parish Schools will be closed on Wednesday, March 30th based on advisement from the OEP and National Weather Service.
All school activities are cancelled until further notice for tomorrow.
In discussions with local superintendents, OEP, and the National Weather Service.
Changes to the weather forecast that includes stronger winds and storms than originally forecasted at the time of dismissal has us reevaluating the situation. We will provide a final decision once we receive more guidance. Thanks for your patience.
The Meaux Elementary Book Fair is currently underway.
Students are visiting the library and making their selections and/or wish lists. The Fair will run through the week of April 4th.
Vermilion Parish Schools will be in session on Wednesday, March 30th. Based on weather reports and conversations with the National Weather Center we are going to be in school. As always, weather is unpredictable and if changes are necessary you will be notified on the App, Facebook Page, and via text message.

The high school art teacher at North Vermilion High, Ms. Kelly DeClouet, is offering an art camp this summer in two sessions. She will be offering two sessions, with both morning sessions designated for grades 3rd - 5th grade from 9am - 12pm. The pages below are on the Meaux Elementary website.

Meaux Elementary participated in Jump Rope for Heart during the month of February and raised $11,000 for the American Heart Association. The top ten fundraisers in the school were:

To end the event students participated in a jump rope contest to see who could "out last" the others. The winner in each grade level were:
1st grade Ella Thomasee 48 seconds
2nd grade Devin Brown 4 minutes 25 seconds
3rd grade Pierce Daugereaux 4 minutes 53 seconds
4th grade Karli Spinks 4 minutes 30 seconds
5th grade Erick Padilla 5 minutes 55 seconds
The top 3 jumpers in the school were:
